The fat is dissolved as the chemicals act like detergents and are able to dissolve fat. These substances are normally secreted and stored in the gall bladder and help in the digestion of fat. The procedure can be very effective, depending on the candidate, and the size of the area treated, which typically are located in the waist/belly.

A brief exam of the body is performed on a candidate to determine all the areas that would qualify for LipoDissolve. Pre photographs are taken to record size and potential results. In most cases, 2-3 large areas are treated in one session. Swelling and tenderness tend to be an issue with every large injection. LipoDissolve can be used to treat fat deposits in the thighs and hips, double chin/neck, fat around the cheeks and midface, fat deposits of the lower eye pads, upper and lower arms, upper and lower abdomen, waist, fat deposits of the back, and knees and legs.

LipoDissolve should always be performed by a physician although it is a minor procedure. If performed by a non professional, complications may arise. LipoDissolve is not like liposuction, as it is meant to only remove small pockets of fat in the body. LipoDissolve works to break down the fat which may take a few weeks to scavenge the cells which have been broken down. It takes a few weeks to clean up the treated area and the removal of fat is permanent as the areas around the fat become flat and compact.

LipoDissolve is very safe and results are gradual. It may take a few months to see noticeable differences. If the targeted area is smaller, results will show much sooner. A loss of 2-3 inches of fat usually takes at least 2-4 sessions of therapy and results may take a few months.
